American Academy of Pediatrics
AAP’s Childhood Immunization Support Program offers research news, answers to common immunization myths, immunization schedules, reminder/recall system models, information on immunization registries, a downloadable compendium of state and national resources, and more.

American Pharmaceutical Association
Offers practice management resources for pharmacists and other mass providers, information on vaccine reimbursement, access to a service to answer immunizers’ clinical questions, a list-serve for pharmacy-based immunizers, and more.

Clinic Assessment Software Application (CASA)
CASA is a tool for assessing clinical immunization practices. It has data entry and import capabilities, as well as reminder and recall tracking. Developed by the CDC, CASA is public domain software.

Immunization Nursing Network Provider Outreach Web Education and Resources (INNPOWER)
Immunization resources for nurses, sponsored by the American Nurses’ Foundation.

National Coalition for Adult Immunization

All Kids Count
AKC is a national technical assistance center fostering the development of integrated child health information systems. The Web site contains information about this and other AKC projects, as well as immunization registries.

Every Child By Two
Offers information for individuals, community organizations, health officials, and providers. Of note is the online CHIP Communications Handbook, useful for outreach ideas to bolster enrollment in state Children’s Health Insurance Programs.

National Coalition for Adult Immunization
Offers several resources that may be downloaded or ordered (e.g., National Adult Immunization Awareness Week Campaign Kit), immunization schedules and record card, fact sheets, and more.

Immunization Action Coalition
The online catalog is billed as “the most complete, up-to-date, and accurate supply and listing of immunization… resources available anywhere,” for health professionals and the public. The IAC sister site, Vaccine Information, contains comprehensive information about specific diseases and vaccines, with photos, descriptions of public policies, and more.

A gateway to on-line immunization resources. Covers vaccine recommendations, practice and safety issues, laws and regulations, government databases, statistical sources, training opportunities, and more.

National Immunization Program
This CDC Web site contains research updates, immunization recommendations, information about immunization myths, links to the Immunization Registry Clearinghouse and other sites, and much more.

National Network for Immunization Information
Has special pages for health care professionals and policy-makers. Sample products include expert testimony on immunization issues and an information kit entitled “Communicating With Patients About Immunizations.”

National Vaccine Program Office
The Web site of the National Vaccine Program, which was created by Congress to provide leadership among federal agencies as they carry out the National Vaccine Plan. Has information on vaccine-preventable diseases (including SARS and smallpox), vaccine research, immunization registries, the National Vaccine Plan, and more.

Institute for Vaccine Safety
Based at Johns Hopkins University, IVS provides an independent assessment of vaccines and vaccine safety to help guide decision makers and educate physicians, the public and the media. The Web site provides answers to common vaccine questions and more.

National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP)
Congress enacted the National VICP as a no-fault alternative to the tort system for resolving claims resulting from adverse reactions to mandated childhood vaccines. The site contains information on how to file a claim and a monthly VICP statistics report.
