Transportation and Health: Policy Interventions for Safer, Healthier People and Communities (2011)
This report examines the effects of transportation policies on public health in three key areas—environment and environmental public health, community design and active transportation, and motor vehicle-related injuries and fatalities. It was produced in collaboration with the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) at UC Berkeley, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Community Health Promotion Handbook: Action Guides to Improve Community Health (2008)
An evidence-based tool developed by Partnership for Prevention and CDC that translates specific recommendations from The Guide to Community Preventive Services (Community Guide) into easy-to-follow implementation guidance. Topics address diabetes management, physical activity, and tobacco-use treatment.
